Student Admissions<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0In general, prospective students for a chemical engineering program at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) are those hoping to finish or already finished high school or equivalent in mathematics and science program and students who are going to finish Certificate in Vocational Diploma from the Pre-Engineering School of KMUTNB. The admission process and details are publicly available in the KMUTNB website (www.kmutnb.ac.th). Since King Mongkut\u2019s University of KMUTNB is an autonomous university under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation. The admission process must follow Thai university Central Admission System (TCAS), which has been applied since 2018. The updated admission processes is displayed in official website at www.mytcas.com. The details of the TCAS system are described as follow:<\/p>

TCAS1:\u00a0Portfolio admission<\/b>. For TCAS1, no written exam is required. However, an interview based archives, aptitude, and attitude is conducted. Rubric scoring is used to select the qualified candidates for the program<\/p>

TCAS2: Quota.\u00a0KMUTNB Direct admission system: Students who finish science and mathematics program can apply for KMUTNB direct admission test, which is organized by the Academic Service Department. The examination consists of mathematics, engineering sciences, and English. Students who pass a paper based exam will be further interviewed for the attitude test.<\/p>

TCAS3:\u00a0Admission.\u00a0<\/b>In this system, students may use scores from the general\u00a0aptitude test\u00a0(GAT) and professional aptitude test (PAT3 and PAT7), which are organized by the TCAS, to apply to KMUTNB via the centralized system. Eligible applicant students must have GPA and PAT 73 more than 3.25 and 30%, respectively. Qualified students will be further interviewed for the attitude test.<\/p>

TCAS4:\u00a0Direct Admission<\/b>. In this system, students may use scores from a six-semester average grade (GPAX), 5 subjects of the ordinary national education test (ONET 01-05), one subject of general aptitude test (GAT85) and professional aptitude test (PAT 72 & PAT 73), which are organized by the National Institute of Educational Testing Services, to apply to via the centralized system. Students must have minimum requirements in the subjects as follows: 6% ONETs 01-05, 15% GAT85, 15% PAT72, and 15% PAT 73. Qualified students will be further interviewed for the attitude test.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our present Program Education Objectives (PEOs) are broad statements that describe what graduates are expected to attain within a few years after graduation. Within roughly three years, our graduate population will collectively exhibit the following traits:<\/h4>

PEO1 : Graduates apply their technical skills in mathematics, science, and engineering to the solution of complex problems encountered in modern Industrial Engineering practice.
PEO2 : Graduates model, analyze, design, and experimentally evaluate components or systems that achieve desired technical specifications subject to the reality of economic constraints with consideration of public health, safety, welfare, global, cultural, social, and environmental factors.
PEO3 : Graduates compete effectively in a world of rapid technological change by applying fundamental knowledge and life-long learning skill, and assume leadership roles within industrial, entrepreneurial, academic in the broad context of IE.
PEO4 : Graduates use their communication skills to function effectively both as individuals and as members of multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, and are able to function with the consideration of professional ethics and related laws.<\/p>

The seven student outcomes for the Industrial Engineering program at King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) are listed below. As recommended by our faculty and IAB, they have been reorganized into a logical grouping of knowledge, skills, and attitude. We have also adopted the Engineering Criteria definition of outcomes as narrower statements that describe what students are expected to know or be able to do by the time of graduation from our program.<\/p>

SO1\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.<\/p>

SO2\u00a0 \u00a0 An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.\u00a0<\/p>

SO3\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.<\/p>

SO4\u00a0 \u00a0 An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.<\/p>

SO5\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.<\/p>
